The New York Times Company today updated its native iPhone app NYTimes (version 2.3.1), the 2009 Mobile Award winner for best news application, with some small bug fixes for twitter and text messaging. Also this update enables the user to change Twitter account without losing the current post.

With this latest update, NYTimes has below features.

• Access the latest articles and photos of the day
• Customize the toolbar with your favorite sections of NYTimes.com
• Read anywhere. After synching, articles and photos are available when offline
• New article sharing tools: Text Message, Twitter and Facebook
• Twitter account can be changed without losing the current post
• The science section can now be added to the bottom bar

Performance and stability enhancements updates were done in the previous version.
