Yahoo! released today an update of its Messenger app (version 1.3) with few most requested features. Now you can set the display image either from iPhone photo album or by taking a new photo. Also, Yahoo! Messenger supports video files sharing with your contact from the app itself, along with office docs and PDF files. It goes global now by supporting new languages: German, French, and Italian & Spanish

Features in this new update are,

- Users now have the ability to set a display image from within the app
- Users will now see real time updates when their contacts change their display image
- File transfer now supports more file types – office docs, PDF & video files to name a few
- A new privacy option for users to opt for ignoring incoming messages from anyone who is not on their Messenger list
- App is now offered in 4 new languages – German, French, Italian & Spanish
- Several bug fixes
