One of the camera apps I have been using and very impressed is Tripod Camera. When it launched, it had all the functionality that a best camera app should have, as for as I am concerned.  It’s getting even better now as the developer of this app came with an update (version 1.1) with preview and flash effect.

Already this app is taking better pictures with anti-tilt and anti-shake. You have full screen shutter too.  I never had to delete any picture that I took with this app because of its quality. As it’s universal truth that always there is scope for improvement, Tripod camera is improvised with two more features that will let you preview the picture before you save it and add flash effect on the picture. While you preview, you can apply flash effect on the photo with a flip of a button and see if looks good or not. If you like that photo you can save it to camera roll otherwise delete it with cancel button.

With these two cool new features, along with other existing functionalities, you can simply use Tripod camera as an alternative to the iPhone’s native camera app.

Tripod Camera has all the features that any iPhone camera application supposed to have. Have you ever wanted to share you photos with a flick of your finger? Now you can, as there is an app for that. Photo Share – Upload & Share Photos is available in App Store for $2.99 from UniConvertr.

There are many apps for photo uploading and sharing into different social networks. How does Photo Share differ from other apps? App description claims “Photo Share is arguably the easiest way to share or upload photos with a great user interface”

Interface looks easy to use and intuitive though. With this app, you can upload and share photos in Flickr and Facebook. The nice feature of Photo Share is that you can share photos with others in the same wifi network with flick of your finger. So you don’t need to clutter their mailbox with attached photos.

You can add photos from your camera roll or any of your albums using the ‘+’ button. Once your photos are added, select the destination on the top and push/flick the photo towards the destination icon. Thats it. Your photo will then be uploaded/shared to the destination.

This app, thankfully, supports multi-touch unlike other apps. So you can move around the photos added to the workspace, move multiple photos with multiple fingers, pinch to zoom in/out, rotate photos using the standard options and delete photos from the workspace. Isn’t it easy and intuitive enough?

You can login to your Flickr and Facebook accounts in the settings tab and make the photos public or private for Flickr account, as default is private. For Facebook, uploaded photos have to be approved before they show up in your Facebook page. Multiple photos can be shared simultaneously too.

Other iPhone and iPod touch devices in the same wifi network will appear on your screen when you click on the wifi icon. So transferring photos is as simple as a flick or push upwards and photos will be sliding into other devices application.

The price $2.99 may look bit too much but considering the options available and ease of use, one can say that’s fine.

What if you want to show photos and travel routes to your friends? You can do it now by downloading Panoramio app from App Store and uploading your photos directly from your iPhone. It would be the easiest way track your trips and organize photos with tags and also with geoposition.

You can share photos of places with the rest of the world via Google Maps and Google Earth. It’s a simple step to do in the app: open an account, which is anyway free with 2GB photos storage, sign in (only the first time as it remembers you), pick a photo from your device or take a new photo, and upload it straight to Panoramio. If available, the geoposition will be automatically set, and you can optionally add a title to the photo.

This is the first time Google’s Panoramio team released an app for iPhone and work is underway for Android app too.

Panoramio is a free app and compatible with iPhone. It requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later.
