Unable to access free apps in other country stores? Have you registered your iPhone/iTunes using your country and not able to download apps from US store or any other store? US store has a large collection of free apps compared to other stores. It is the choice of apps vendor to choose the store they want to post their apps. Many choose US as it has a large customer base. The below steps would help you to access the US or any other country apps store, download and use free apps.

1) Launch iTunes Store in iTunes application

2) Scroll down till the bottom of the page. You will find your country flag at the right side. Click on it and change the flag to ‘United States’. Now you are in US Store.

3) Click on the ‘Redeem’ link in Quick Links or the bottom of the page.

4) Enter the redemption code and click on redeem.

Don’t have a redemption code? You can purchase redemption code from stores or use the free redemption code available in Free Promo Codes section http://www.alliphoneappsreview.com/category/free-promo-codes/

5) When you are prompted to sign-in, click on create account. Provide necessary credentials and continue till you are asked for credit card details. Select ‘none’

6) Now enter an US address and submit the information.

Do not forget to provide valid zip code. You can search online for zip codes of various states in US.

Note: Some of your existing apps might not work when you switch to US app store id. Try switching back to the other id to access these applications.

Suggestion to buy apps from other country stores: It’s better to buy vouchers and redeem them in the other country store. It will help you enjoy benefits of your country store and other country stores.

Warning: The suggestion is to bypass and get better apps to help you utilize your iPhone fully. It is not for any malpractice and do not use other’s credit cards.

Jailbreak Steps:
1) Run the blackra1n.app on your iPhone, if you still keep it
2) Icy will be replaced by an option “ra1n”
3) Install “ra1n” to upgrade your app
4) Run blackra1n.app again

Unlock Steps:
5) Install “sn0w”, which will be seen after running blackra1n.app in the step 4

That’s it! Now is the time to enjoy your unlocked iPhone

For New User (Just like me):
These steps are for those who upgraded iPhone OS to latest 3.1.2 with 05.11.07. If you never jailbroke or unlocked it, you better upgrade it to latest OS.

1)  Go to blackra1n.com
2)  Click on the logo corresponding to your operating system and download the files
3)  Run the downloaded file
4)  Click “make it ra1n”
5)  After the iPhone reboots, blackra1n.app will appear
6)  Run blackra1n.app
7)  Install blacksn0w

You also enjoy your unlocked iPhone.

For Pwnage User:
If you jailbroke using pwnage or deleted your blackra1n.app, you will have to wait till later today as blacksn0w will be added to Cydia, and instructions will be posted here and there.

For 2G iPhone User:
Blacksn0w isn’t an option for you. But BootNeuter is, a completely free permanent unlock for your 2G. Of course, blackra1n will work great, and even hacktivate for you.

GeoHot thanked ih8sn0w for bringing the at+xemn command to his attention. This is the injection vector used to get code running on the baseband. You can soon expect him to write a technical post about how it works.

As a final note, GeoHot wrote in his blog “This may be the best iPhone users ever have it. Be sure, if you have a 3GS or iPod Touch 3, to use Cydia’s “On File” or Firmware Umbrella in order to be able to restore to 3.1.2 in the future. And as always, the baseband cannot be downgraded, so be *super* careful with updates if you need the unlock.”

Here is the relief for the iPhone and iPod touch owners (just like me) who accidentally updated the iPhone OS 3.1.2 with baseband 05.11.07 and want to unlock the iPhone.

GeoHot, one among the very few iPhone hackers who can jailbreak and unlock iPhone, is readying for the release of blacksn0w on 11/04/2009.  Blacksn0w will be the first and only one unlock solution for the Apple’s latest iPhone OS version 3.1.2 with baseband 05.11.07. Though the Dev-Team continues to work on a carrier unlock for the latest basebands, as per them, “the timeframe for such an unlock is unknowable.”

George Hotz, the guy who will be hero for the iPhone and iPod touch owners who wants jailbreaking and unlocking their device, posted in his blog that “all iPhone unlocks and jailbreaks are free. Only two people make unlocks, me and the dev team. Every iPhone unlock site you see out there is selling our stuff, repackaged in some form or another. Same goes for jailbreaks, although ih8sn0w and chronicdev are legit. Notice what all the legit ones have in common? They are free.“

So lets not encourage, by buying the jailbreak and unlock products, those sites that sell the goodies of the people who really work very hard.
